The Astron is a solar powered floodlight which will produce up to 12 hours of constant light each night. And unlike our security lights, which only turn on when motion is detected, the Astron is designed to stay on constantly and can be operated by remote control. It is very easy to fit, can be installed almost anywhere and does not need to be fitted by a trained electrician saving you money on installation fees.

 

You can also choose if you want it to operate automatically or manually. In automatic mode the Astron will come on automatically each night for 6 hours before turning itself off. In the manual mode you can control it using the remote control (range of 50 meters). You can use the remote control to turn the floodlight on or off whenever you like and you can use it to turn the light back into its automatic mode.

 

The durable 10 Watt solar panel can be mounted on the ground, a roof or a wall and its angle can be adjusted to capture as much sunlight as possible. How does the Astron Floodlight work?

The Astron solar powered floodlight uses a powerful 10 Watt solar panel which charges its internal high capacity battery during the day. At night the Astron illuminates when automatically or manually via its remote control.

How do I install the Astron Floodlight?

Find the best location for the solar panel within 5 meters of where you plan to mount the floodlight. The location of the solar panel needs to be as South facing as possible and away from direct light obstructions such as buildings, fences, trees, bushes or shadows that these may create.

1. Connect the U-shaped solar panel mounts to the solar panel.
2. Positions the panel in the desired location and mark where the holes are in the U-shaped mounts.
3. Drill holes, fit wall plugs and screw the solar panel into place.

4. Remove the bracket form the light and mark where the holes are in its desired location.

5. Drill holes, fit wall plugs and screw the light bracket into place.

6. Reconnect the light to the light bracket.

7. Connect the solar panel to the light unit with the supplied cable and switch on.
